“I’m 22 years old and work as a painter. Like most men in trades, up until recently I hadn’t been to the dentist in over 10 years! My parents never took me to the dentist when I was younger, and I didn’t know I had to go regularly.
I had my first Scale & Polish ever about 18 months ago. I just loved the feel of my teeth after the clean so much, I wanted them like that all the time! I’m now using an electric toothbrush, a weekly fluoride rinse and flossing every day.

I have a Scale & Polish done every 4-6 months now. None of my workmates understand why I choose to spend a few hundred dollars on my teeth 3 to 4 times a year out of choice! I just can’t say enough about hygienists, I think they’re fantastic.

Since the age of 18 I have lived with migraine headaches – never has a month passed without 1 to 5 migraines. I had many large, black, amalgam fillings and these were deteriorating and needed attention. My teeth were cracked and breaking away around the amalgams. In December 2005 (aged 47) I entrusted Dr Craig Duval to remove all my amalgams and replace them with CEREC fillings. Since this was done:

I haven’t had a single migraine. I can eat anything with ease and no longer fear pieces of teeth breaking off.

I have spent 2006 having my teeth straightened with Invisalign. As I near the end of this easy and painless procedure, I look forward to smiling for photographs. I am excited about a future without migraines and the freedom this brings.

I am someone who is afraid of dental work – due to previous painful experiences. During and after my CEREC treatments I experienced no pain and the procedures were well explained to me – this greatly lowered my stress levels.

While I must admit I don’t enjoy dental procedures (who does!), I would do it all again if I knew what an impact it would have on my quality of life.
